FUNDING
The Board of Directors of MHF have the final authority over all
funds, investments, methods of covering costs of operations and grant
distributions.
Donated items, assets, securities, other than cash will be
liquidated as soon as possible, unless it is determined by our Board of
Directors it would be more beneficial to retain the donated items,
assets, securities or to sell at a later date. Donors shall release and
hold harmless MHF, its employees, officers, directors and
representatives for all actions or inaction taken with respect to
donations, including but not limited to their sale and maintenance.
HOW DO WE GET OUR FUNDING?
We raise our resources from a broad cross-section of the public,
and have a broad, flexible mission in supporting communities needs in
Oklahoma.
The MHF's primary assets come from a collection of permanent charitable
funds-money donated by governments, and corporations, as well as from
residents throughout the State of Oklahoma who want to provide a
continuing resource for their state and its communities. The funds are
managed by professional investors to ensure lasting stewardship.
Occasionally, we give support to a worthy program that doesn’t fall
under our grant structuring, but will help make positive changes within
the community.
